Bullaque River

Add it to your travel notebook

Of great environmental and ecological value, this beautiful river is home to gallery forests, ash groves, willow groves, poplar groves, reed beds, tamarisk groves, water lily formations and amphibious vegetation. It is inhabited by an interesting fauna made up of populations of otters, European and leper tortoises, pygmy newts, and populations of endangered bird species, such as the black stork, which finds an excellent nesting and feeding habitat here.

There are several recreational areas along the route: one located at the Torre de Abraham reservoir, another near the town of El Torno, and a third in the area known as the Tabla de la Yedra, in Piedrabuena.
